It Wasn't The Job Of My Dreams
It Wasn't The Job Of My Dreams
People have had their dream job already set up when they come out of college.
Mine was only getting a job although being among the rankers I feared being left out. I was placed in Banglore and I didn't want to leave my hometown, then is when Job site came to my help.
I cried the day I went to an MNC and prayed constantly to get selected as I did not want to leave home. God's grace I got the Job.
I was the only new girl in the Team of 13-15 people. I never thought I would be doing coding in my college days. But life put me in the same shoe only to show me how I fitted well.
The team I was in, is still the best I could have ever be in. My mentors were as calm and as good that I turned out to be a good coder more than my expectations. Within 8 months of joining, I became the module lead and started handling a team of 2-3 people. The journey of the 8 months is what I cherish the most.
Refinement and Responsibility are what is the key to the success of personal growth. The more challenging the more interesting the work seemed to me. My colleague told me to have something new on your plate to work on, finish the one in your hand no matter how boring it is. 8 months was where I was responsible for my work that my lead stopped rechecking my work due to the confidence he gained from my initial work.
Be down to earth no matter how good you are at things is the Principal I follow. Towards the End of 8 months, I could see my future teammates not being that sound. I felt I need to help them in the future they would help me. It is when I spoke for them to help them groom themselves and that guy still Thanks me for speaking up for him.
My First Job was not just a colleague but a family where actually people helped each other for growing up. They ain't colleagues any more but true friends that I can still count.
It wasn't the Job of my dreams but it helped me out to figure out what I am good at and will help me achieve my dreams.
