The early hours of a chaotic dusk receded, as the glow of the staggering full moon approached the dark blue sky, illuminating the humid south-coastal town's humble skyline. The roar of the waves reflected the pride of the coast near the fabulously built town that overlooked the sea. The streets had slowly began to shine, like a crystal kept under sunshine and so did the busy roads that overlooked the majestic sea. The view-point had slowly began to desert, as many left for the safety and comfort of their homes. The stray animals took shelter in this now, deserted view-point for the cold, merciless night. The crows, pigeons, sparrows and cranes flew towards their nests to finish their long day and to rest.

The harbor was still occupied to the brim, with workers in royal blues and whites running frantically towards the dock. Some were seen transporting the goods from the massive ship that had docked here since last dawn. Some were seen on the ship, helping those transporting the goods while the others kept an eye out for the goods and the workers' safety.

The subway station was crowded to the brim and the trains were boarded quickly. Five seconds later, the train just vanished into thin air, as the horns got fainter. The neighborhoods were getting illuminated, as many were seen having a casual walk, jog or even some running and driving their bikes. As time would pass by, the mostly deserted roads of the streets would began to crowd with cars, motorcycles, bikes and mostly people. The homeless shelters would begin to crowd up as well.

By far, nothing seems uncanny about the pre-text of this night. Or that's what many assumed that night, before going to slumber. Why on earth would they expect a criminal would escape to their neighborhood in the middle of the night, when their neighborhood is located so distant from the local prison?

This was a fateful and chaotic night for those unsuspecting victims living in the neighborhood of Oceanview Route.

The Onyx Boulevard, popular for housing the local prison, had faced an unexpected power shutdown due to maintenance issues in the power plant. This felt like a perfect time for Fernando Beck, a criminal locked in for Assault, Attempted murder and Attempted theft. Beck had spent the past 4 years in a mental asylum, as he was diagnosed with Persistent antisocial behavior and was transferred to this prison after seeing signs of improvement last year.

He hated this prison and wanted to go back to the asylum, mainly because he had to face constant verbal abuse from the guards in this prison.

This night made him feel nothing, but when the power shutdown had prolonged for more than the usual 20 minutes, he knew that this was the day of his true freedom. He now had no restrictions to break through the cell door, since it is not electrically charged anymore. He had a plan and within 30 minutes, he escaped his cell and shortly, out of the prison. He now felt that he didn't like the asylum either, so he decided to return to his home, right above the sewers of The routes neighborhood, get his illegal passes and escape to wherever the ship, leaving the dock around midnight, will go to.

Laverene Mueller had just returned to her home in Oceanview Route, after an exhausting ride home after a tediously long day of dealing with problematic clients. She was pretty much annoyed with clients who were indecisive over everything and anything in a home, from its overall location to the color of the tiles in the rooms. She never had to deal with such clients before, simply because she was a lower agent until yesterday. She was promoted to a higher level yesterday and began to work as one today and already felt a bad omen from it.

She was a highly religious woman who believed in omens, bad spirits and zodiac signs. She felt a bad omen for the entirety of this day and wanted to rest and never return. After returning to a deserted home, she did not even bother to change to her pajamas and fell flat on her face onto the bed and began to sleep, hoping that her husband would at least return home before midnight today. Had she known to close the doors, the tragedy would not have taken place.

She woke up from a long slumber due to hunger and finally changed her clothes into something relaxing, after a short bath. She felt her body ache from hunger and thought of ordering food from outside instead. As she walked out to the living room, she was pleasantly surprised to see that her husband was home and kept her favorite food for her.

"I am sure that I didn't spot a blue moon today."

"Wow, your eyesight has deteriorated by a lot. I never had met a real estate client with a bad vision"

"If that's the case, then I have not met an energetic surgeon."

Both of them chuckled for a bit and she began to eat.

"We never ate together since the past 3 years. This feels surreal."

"Better now than never!"

The both laughed to their heart's content and finished eating.

"You know what? I feel a bit lonely today in my room, so mind leaving some space for me?"

"Sure do"

A few hours of TV later, they both slept cuddling each other. She felt as if the bad omen might be a false alarm to something non-existent and decided to drop this feeling.

Meanwhile, Beck somehow snuck through the guards and entered the Oceanview Route. He had a brief moment of nostalgia before proceeding to walk towards his bunker, right below the porch stairs of the Muller Villa.
