Isn’t it interesting that anything we ever consume-books, videos, music, eavesdropping on people arguing, everything, will always teach us something or the other, consciously or unconsciously. We are always learning even if we don’t want to, it’s like we are forced to do it but in a good way. I believe that is why this quote by Gandhi Ji is incorrect “never listen to anything bad, see anything bad or say anything bad” this is because it’s going to impact you in some way, shape, or form. I, personally disagree because seeing, listening to, or saying anything bad is going to be the thing that teaches us what bad actually is, isn’t it? It teaches us how to distinguish a bad habit or experience from a good one. Therefore, few bad experiences are vital, I know this sounds horrible out of context. Unless you have had a bad experience, you can’t appreciate a good one, I know everyone has heard this cliché a million times but mentioning that it’s a cliché obviously makes it less cliché.

As I mentioned even bad experiences teach us things, for some reason knowing that anything I do is teaching me some way or the other, that I am always growing as a person brings me great relief, a feeling of satisfaction even. I am not quite aware why, but a few things just happen because they do.

It is true that at different times you’ll have varying priorities so “learning” can’t be your excuse for procrastinating. As an example you can’t say that watching TV instead of studying for a test tomorrow, you’re saying “learning”.It is crucial to know what to do first, which turns to time management. Connecting dissimilar values together is thrilling, I feel like an Old man in old Greece questioning life and answering those questions myself.

Even if not doing anything, you will always be thinking, you physically can’t stop your capability to think. While sleeping, your brain does keep working not just to continue your digestion process or to keep your heart beating but also to ‘produce’ dreams. I believe dreams can tell you something which you wouldn’t necessarily know while being awake.

All this effective thinking and functioning did just by a meat mass of about 1.5kg situated at the top of our bodies, almost like a hat, every day till you perish. This all is very fascinating to me.
