I Will Save You

It was a very cold and chilly January night. It was almost 11:45 pm. I left my office. I came out of my office building and realized how cold it was. I was walking on the road to get home quickly. It was very quiet. There was no soul in sight and though I never believed in ghosts this time I was feeling very creepy and this reminded me of all the horror movies I have seen and made fun of it, this night I was not reminding it funnily. But before I could think of anything bad, my cab arrived.

I was the last one to leave the office. My parents didn’t allow me to drive during winter because of my late working timings.

As the cab stopped in front of me I realized I had not seen this driver earlier. I suspected him a little and asked for his id proof and important documents. They were alright. I thought he must be a new cab driver. Today I was feeling very tired so I wore my earphones and I sat listening to the music. Because of my a lot of tiredness, I slept.

I fell asleep after almost half an hour. I realized that we were going in the wrong way. It was really black outside, with no street lights. I was really scared. I asked the driver on which route are we going. There was no answer. I thought maybe my voice will be low so I repeat again with loud but again there was no answer. So I touched his shoulder with anger. He turned his neck at me. What I saw next is that it will haunt me for my whole life. The driver’s eyes were Fully red. I was really scared. There was a tree in front of our car. When he was looking at me the car crashed into the tree. I felled unconscious.

When I woke up I was in the hospital. After 2 days I got a discharge. I really don’t anyhow I came to the hospital and when I got discharge they didn’t ask me for money.

I was that I will not tell anyone about this thing actually no one will believe. I was feeling normal after a week. When I reached home my 5-year-old nephew who is very close to me he came running towards me but today something was unusual in him. He didn’t speak a single word in the last two hours. He was just looking at me. Finally, after everybody left I asked him what’s wrong with you. I almost died when he answered, “That driver wants you dead, he will come again for you, but you don’t worry, I will not let him hurt you, I will save you.”
