I saw a Butterfly

I saw a Butterfly

I saw a butterfly,

Flapping its wings in the sky

To fly further it tried its best

Not wasting a second to take rest

It fluttered further into the blue

Until where it went, I had no clue

I pondered how it travelled on its own

Through the dark and places unknown

Did its mother just leave it alone?

Because now it wasn't a child, it had grown

Did she teach it how to fly?

Or even say the last goodbye?

While all these thoughts flooded my mind,

The butterfly casually left me behind

Did it have assumptions like these?

Or did it just mingle in the breeze?
