People always ask the same question when you're lost in the thoughts that are bringing you deeper and deeper down a hole that doesn't seem to end. That question is, "Are you ok?"

Through all aspects of life, you've been asked at least once this question, and every time you reply with either "I'm ok", or "I'm fine" when it seems obvious that you are not ok or fine.

When someone says, "I'm ok" it may not mean that they are ok. They may mean, "I'm brOKen. " those four hidden letters that are hidden behind the one word that means that you are doing good, that life is not bad should not mean that you are doing good or that life is not bad right now. The word "ok" should emphasize a feeling in which the person is not necessarily good at that present moment.

"I'm fine, " another phrase which is a lie to the hearts of the broken. They don't necessarily mean they are fine, they may actually mean, "I'm struggling with feelings that are undeFINEd, in a way that I cannot explain with my words, but with the phrase "I'm fine, " in which you may not understand the full meaning to. "

"I'm fine", "I'm ok", are you ok? Are you really fine? Some people can sense your sadness with just a slight glance and if they ask, "are you ok?" You will still respond with the same two phrases, "I'm fine, or "I'm ok, " but this person knows you are not fine or ok and tries to help, but you push them away in fear of messing everything up like how you say, "Everyone says I mess everything up. " When you know this isn't true because if it were you wouldn't be standing here today with someone who wants to help your broken heartbeat again.

It's going to be alright in the end. Hold on tight for the ride isn't over. Some days, it's going to be like walking up a steep hill, but if you stop you'll fall and have to start all over. Keep going up that hill until you're at the top. The hill may seem like it's going on forever, just remember there is always a top to the hill.
