Humans can make mistakes but robots cannot.

Humans are becoming more and more dependent on machines for their day-to-day purposes. The computer technology and artificial intelligence slowly and steadily was no longer restricted to computers and smartphones, but now, there were self-driving cars, artificially intelligent robots that could express their ideas, reproduce their species and were even more efficient than the humans at work. Slowly, all the companies started hiring robots instead of humans because of their high-efficiency, and durability. Now they could do their work in a better and easier way by buying the robots at some cost and make them work throughout without any further expenses until they wear-out and become useless.

But this was just the beginning. The hiring of robots in the initial stage seemed to be very fascinating. But soon, there were artificially intelligent robot companions, robot dancers, robot singers, robot policemen, robot delivery boys, robot athletes and many such other horrible things introduced in the market. Watching these robots all around was now not at all fascinating but creepy, because the robots that were introduced in the market would exactly look like humans and had human-like natural voices.

There was a boy named George, who was passionate about artificial intelligence (A.I.) and programming languages. He had built small robots that were capable of cleaning the house, washing the utensils and cooking the desired food at a very early age. This made his passion for computer science grow even more. He spent hours and hours reading books, attending lectures from top computer- scientists and at last he pursued robotics engineering when he grew up. After passing from the university, he took the job of a robotics engineer in a company. He used to design robots, and train them to perform their tasks efficiently. After years of experiments, he discovered a way by which the robots could learn and copy every move of the humans, in such a way that humans and robots could not be distinguished.

After discovering the brilliant idea, he decided to leave the company and start a start-up company of his own, where he did not employ humans but his own dear robots as the employees. The company gained tremendous success and George became a billionaire. He accumulated large sums of money by selling his robots that required absolutely no training and could easily imitate the way humans worked just by seeing them through the advanced visual sensors designed by George. This was just the pack what the company’s needed.

George now led a happy life in a big house and bought hundreds of supercars parked in his tremendous garage. He left his work upon his robot employees and sat all day at home enjoying the money that he had earned. He was now unaware of the products that his robotic employees were launching and did not even bother to visit the office. He used to sit all day, eat and sleep. This made him unwell and he was diseased. Even after knowing that he was suffering from a disease, George was as cool as a cucumber since he knew that his robots were even employed in the healthcare sector and were capable of treating all kinds of diseases since they had seen the doctors doing the same.

But George was unaware of the fact that the artificially intelligent robots left without having control over them had now become extremely cunning and dangerous. They now started hating humans and wished to take control over the world. They produced thousands of robots with the same ideology per day, and exported them world-wide. The employees of George’s company knew about his excellent knowledge in robotics and knew it was only he who could stop them from conquering the world by re-programming the robots.

One fine day, George visited his company’s office. It was a after a long gap. He could barely recognize the building and the staff. Nevertheless, he went to a robot, who was assigned the post of the CEO of the company and told him about his disease. The CEO of the company was the leader of the robotic mission of conquering the world, and hated George. He wirelessly communicated with the robotic doctors and explained them his plan. He ensured George by saying that the human doctors could make a mistake in his treatment because humans can make mistakes but robots cannot.

George was fully convinced and was ready to get operated through his robotic doctors. But on the other hand, the robots had made a terrible plan to murder George, in order to remove all the obstacles in their path of success. George was given anesthesia and was murdered. Now, the CEO of the company became the owner of the company and continued working towards his plan.

After some years, the time came for the leader robot to conquer the world. He had created a vast army spread out worldwide and their population was nearly five times the total population of humans on the Earth. The war finally started. Millions of innocent humans were massacred and mercilessly killed by the robots. The son of George, Joe, was not more than 9 years old, and wanted to curb the growing power of the robots, since he suspected that his father was murdered by them. Suddenly, he noticed a girl staring him carefully. The girl was of similar age group as his. Her name was Marina. He had never met her before and had a conversation with her. After the conversation he realized that both of them had the same thoughts and that both of them wanted to destroy the robotic army. The girl ensured him that she would bring her friends along with her the next day in order to plan against the robotic army.

The next day, she came along with her friends at Joe’s place. They discussed in the meeting, how they all hated the robots being present everywhere and expressed their feelings of revolt. Joe explained that all the robots in this world communicated with each other via an enormous Wi-Fi machine established in the United States. He planned with his friends to target it and destroy the machine by a secret missile-launcher created by his father. By destroying it, the robots worldwide would become useless machine parts. He explained that none of the robots were surrounding the machine due to the high radiation in the area and this was a major advantage for them. Joe noticed that it was only he who made the plan, and others just listened it with serious faces. He smiled and requested everyone to participate in the conversation. But everyone refused to give any idea and declared Joe the leader of the operation.

The next day was the day of execution, Joe called all his friends at his place and observed the surroundings of the enormous Wi-Fi machine via flying microscopic cameras. Now, there were tons of robots wearing protective jackets against radiation. Joe was terrified to see this now he could not attack the machine since the robots were ready to protect it. He looked down through his window out of dismay, and was puzzled to see that an enormous gang of robots were surrounding his house. Being extremely terrified, he went in the living room and informed his friends about the same. His friends took up some guns and told that now their responsibility to protect Joe. Seeing this, Joe decided to take some guns himself and join them. They all went down. There was a serious war going on between humans and robots and the humans were being killed in large numbers. Nevertheless, after seeing the tremendous support given by his friends he decided to fight. His family was the last human family that was alive. He fought fierce fully against the robots.

But unfortunately, the nine- year old boy had to see his entire family being killed by the merciless robots. Joe was completely broken and cried his eyes out. Suddenly, he started feeling that something was terribly wrong. He turned behind to look at Marina. He was scared to see that she had a creepy smile and her eyes and disappeared and now a black digital band surrounded the region. He noticed the same with all of her friends. Joe immediately understood the reason behind the sudden protection of the Wi-Fi machine and the reason why his house got surrounded by the gang of soldiers. His friends had betrayed him. He had made a mistake to recognize them as humans because they were not humans, but artificially intelligent robots, sent by the leader, that were capable of Wi-Fi communication, who immediately revealed Joe’s entire plan to him. But now they had guns and were pointing towards Joe, just going to shoot him. Marina laughed and said, “Years ago the leader robot had fooled and killed your father by saying this statement and today I will say the same statement before I kill you.” Joe was terrified. Marina said, “Humans can make mistakes but robots cannot”, and pointed the gun towards Joe and pulled the trigger.

Joe was the last recorded living human on Earth and after his death, it was the time for the robots to rule. At the end, I as the narrator must say that the robots might rule the world in a better way since, “Humans can make mistakes but robots cannot.”
