How To Be Successful
How To Be Successful
Once upon a time, a motivation seminar on “How to be successful” was going on in a full packed auditorium. More than one thousand people from various professions including businessmen, social workers, doctors, engineers etc. had come there to attain knowledge from the well-known speaker. The speaker who was a professor of one of the top universities of India was sharing his rich experience on- how to be successful. He was trying to express his essence of his total 30 years of studies on success. His simple languages, well referred by suitable stories were speaking a volume of his strength as a professor and as well a successful motivational trainer.
In middle of his speech he stopped for few minutes, took some water and told, “What is exact birth date of a child?” Everybody in the auditorium looked at each other and nobody was expecting a question of this kind. But everybody was well aware that intention behind the question would be something great.
One from the audience told, “Exactly on the date the child came from mother’s womb.”
“Is it so?” Asked the professor and all the audience unanimously agreed to it.
The professor with a beautiful smile told, “No my dear, you all are wrong. You may be right how far our medical language is concerned. You are not wrong as per as common understanding is concerned. But if you will go little deep you can see the child was somewhere alive before taking birth. The exact birth of a child happens when it makes its first existence in mother’s womb. It’s only after birth the world sees him/her. Hence its actual birth happens some time around ten months back in mother’s womb. It means we all are ten months aged than our actual age.”
All audience clapped as they got some new insights but they were suspecting the topic might have changed its direction. One doctor stood up and told “You may be right sir. But how is it related to our present discussion?”
The professor looked at the doctor and told, “Your question is absolutely justified. But let me to establish the relationship.”
After a short break the professor continued, “First, let me speak something about our mind. Our mind is an amazing instrument. It has the ability to manifest anything what it truly believes it can. And like a child, takes its first shape in mother’s womb, a success initially in form of thought takes its place in a person’s mind. Basically whatever you see surrounding you were in forms of thoughts at a stage. Success in level of thoughts requires proper nourishment just like a child requires its proper feeds in mother’s womb.”
All the audiences were looking very attentive as they were entering into a different dimension. They were listening to something that they had never listened or thought before. The professor maintained some silence and continued, “Like all children (in mother’s womb), all success in forms of thought struggle to see physical existence as soon as possible. As similar to a mother, every person is required to take proper care to his/her thought. It is required to given with proper feed from various sources like; reading related book, watching and listening related videos and audios, attending related seminars etc. This is what you need to from your side.”
With a pause he continued, “Many of you may not believe our mind has the potential to grab related information all by itself, just like a child grows in mother womb all by itself. Difficulties must would be there. There is no way to escape. You need to capitalize those - as every problem is a new opportunity to learn from. Your success in from of thought some time make you happy, when in other time hurts you also. When you learn something new you become happy and experience pain when you fail also. So you need to have sufficient patience to take every situation positively and learn from it. It is as similar to a mother’s pain and enjoyment during pregnancy. Child’s memory gives her enjoyment and when it struggles, gives her pain. Just remember the more the struggle, more rewarding your success would be. Patience is the key factor at this stage.” The professor paused for a while.
There was a pin drop silence in the entire auditorium. The silence was so deep that, even one can easily feel and experience own breathing. The professor thought for a while and continued, “Dear, how important is it for a person to hold a single thought till the time it has not been manifested. It does not necessarily mean you should not think about anything else but primary thought should get your top priority. For example- if you want and decided to be a doctor, your top attention and priority should be this only. You may use your mind in other activities like, doing your regular household works, shopping, playing etc. but you should pay least to these and most to former. This is how a great mind is different form an ordinary mind. An ordinary mind remains busy in so many thoughts but hardly manifests anything. When in other hand a great mind holds one and continues to feed it on regular and continuous basis till time it has not been manifested. Just relate it to a mother’s womb which has more than one child in it (suppose two). It is always difficult for the mother to take care and feed either properly, which may cause death of both or one or bad health condition of any one or both.”
Now professor decided to have a break for some time. After having some look on his mails he continued, “Friends, when a child is in mother’s womb, both mother and child struggle. Childs struggle makes it strong from time to time and when mother’s struggle prepares herself to receive the best gift of the world. If at this stage anybody fails, it may create problem for either party. In the same way, when you concentrate on a thought it starts to pain you. It is so because it wants to take a physical shape and you take the pain because you want to have it. Just remember this is very crucial stage. Temporary failures, minor and major setbacks, sleeplessness etc. are some of the difficulties one may face. And at these stages some stop themselves, when some other gets misdirected. One needs to go through these stages and learn from every stage.”
After a small pause the professor continued, “Just remember, till the time, your thoughts has not touched day light, nobody, but you only can help you. The world does its contribution only when your thought comes physically. For instance, take the example of a cell phone. You can see thorough changes if you will compare its present shape with shape it had during its invention. Had anybody else or this world made any contribution when it was not available physically? No. Somebody gave physical shape to his thought and invented it. After its invention the world continued to add color to make it reach its present shape. So, it’s entirely your responsibility to bring your thought to existence. It is as similar to same as the world (family member, relatives, religion, education system etc.) keep on adding their value only after birth of the child. But till the birth, it is mother who alone is responsible or accountable.”
Professor looked at his watch. It is about to be 1 PM. He realized it is the time to conclude his presentation. Without any more delay he moved towards his concluding part, “Dear, you alone and none else is responsible, if you are not able to give physical existence to your thought. No circumstance or situation either wholly or partly can be blamed for your failure. Because no situation or condition is bigger than your mind and thought. Use your mind and thought wisely and be an extraordinary winner. Thanks you all for spending your valuable time with me.”
This is how the seminar came to the end. The professor as well as audience left for their home happily. Professor was happy that he had made his best speech of his life so far, whereas audience was happy because they had new insight about success. Each was feeling himself/herself lucky for being part of such a rewarding seminar.
