He Was Already In

The clock passed two when she was still awake..

Merged in her thoughts she sat near the creaking window, wrapping her shawl tightly..

Chilly gusts of wind hit her face..

There was a sudden stillness in the wind... 

The clouds started covering the moon..

The night fell heavier than before..

Suddenly she heard her name being called..

It came from the ebony forest which was not too far from her home..

She fastened the flying curtains and peeped out..

The thick mist could hardly clear the view..

Her restless psyche was craving to discover who called out her name..

Far in the woods she saw someone lurking in the corner..

Her heart was beating faster than before as it was nothing more than a mystery..

Her mind was going numb as it seemed like a phantom..

Fear ran down her spine, with utter terror she called out, "Who's there?"..

Not being able to take the funk anymore, she promptly shut the window..

She took heavy breaths, trying to make her calm..

When a queering voice spoke in her ears,

"Thanks for letting me come"..
