Hari Bol to Horrible!

My paternal Grandpa(devotee of Lord Jagannath)used to say, "residing near a temple gives immense peace-'HARI BOL'!". I dreamt of only peace from the day, he delivered the statement.

However, in the year 2002, we left our days at township's quarter and moved into a rented house in Cuttack.

"Hey! This house is situated near a temple! Wow!", I jumped on my assumption as per Grandpa's statement. Practical experience is yet to yield

Whatever, we are well acquainted with our festivals, hymns, chants, etc. It was during Janmashtami, someone from the temple's charity; appeared at our doorstep to collect some donations. He handed over the list of programmes to be held at the temple. I didn't pay heed to the list that much but, donated the asked amount like a philanthropist

However, evening passed...with the sunset of that day, I felt positive vibes around

"There is so much peace here, Grandpa's statement was so true!", I murmured to my heart

We peacefully had our dinner and enjoyed Bioscope on DD National. As next day was a holiday due to Janmashtami, I planned to jump onto bed lately.

"OOOH! NOOOOOO!!! HARI...BOL! HARI...BOL! HARI...BOL", 1st program with the birth of Lord Krishna started, sharp at midnight

Initially I put some cotton flock into my ears, but nooo! It was of no use!! Put pile of pillows, still No Use!

One ear of mine receiving hammer hit from temple's mic-HARI...BOL! HARI...BOL! HARI...BOL! &another ear's outcome was-"HORRIBLE...!".

Lots of turmoil and turbulences were going inside my brain, erupted like volcanoes...those eruptions blew up my eyebrows and hairs like electric shocks🤯🥶

Later on I realized, "why residing near a temple was peaceful to Grandpa!?...

He had lost his hearing ability &to him any loud sound or noise was soothing. And low and medium sounds had Null effect

"HORRIBLE!"
