Dear Diary,

Reema was excited. She was going to marry the love of her life with the approval of all the elders and her happiness knew no bounds. Reema met Paresh when she was in her final year of college. It was at an Intercollegiate cultural festival. “Hey, I had blocked these seats for my friends before you,” an arrogant voice complained as Reema and her friends were going to occupy the vacant seats. Reema mocked,” Your name is not written on any of these seats, you can check if you want.” Reema’s friends refused to give in. “It’s ok Paresh, let’s sit 2 rows away, let the girls have their way” Paresh’s friends convinced him and took him away.

After a few hours of the program Reema noticed that her bag was missing. Her first suspect was the gang of boys who were seated 2 rows away. She went straight to Paresh,” I know you stole my bag, before I complain to the organizers return it or else….” She was silenced by his friends. “ Do you know whom you are accusing, we are the Organizing team you were just mentioning and this is Paresh, our cultural head”. Reema felt embarrassed and her tone changed immediately,” Oh, I didn’t know. But my bag is still missing. I had my wallet and my phone in it. Can you help me trace it?”.

Paresh and team reluctantly agreed to help out. He switched on his walky-talky and let all the teams know about this and asked her to check back at the Lost and Found counter in a couple of hours. It was late in the evening when they found her bag on the ground. There was no wallet and phone though. Her friends suggested that she lodge a police complain. Paresh took her to the station to complete the formalities. Paresh gave the station his number as Reema did not want her parents to panic. Later he also dropped her back home.

Reema thought about the day’s happenings later at night and realised that he was not that bad after all. The next day the cops found the phone so called Paresh to come and take the phone. As soon as he saw Reema entering the college, he ran towards her with the good news. He left the Culturals and took her to the station to take her phone. They exchanged numbers and kept in touch. They discovered they had a lot in common.

After a year of knowing each other, they decided to take their relationship further and when Paresh got a good paying job, they broke the news to their respective families. It was an amazing journey of courtship. It was like they knew each other for a few lifetimes.

With time, this bond only strengthened leaps and bounds and culminated in a marriage that was not only happy but also an inspiration to other couples.
