When My mom asked Me to hang the clothes on the line, I should have agreed.

I made quite some acting to put off the chores. But still, you know I couldn't stay still staring at my physics notebook in disgust.

Hanging clothes was way better than having to do sums in physics. Boring!

Finally, I agreed. Taking along the bucket of wet clothes in my hand, I climbed up the stairs. It was night already. The washing machine took forever to finally wash the clothes. And by the time My mom took them out it was almost dusk.

I hated to hang clothes. Especially in this odd time. Yet I climbed up.

It was dark. Pitch dark. I had to stand still for a while for my eyes to go get used to the darkness. Finally, I moved towards the line. I had the habit of observing everything wherever I go. Though I knew I had the terrace observed a million times earlier. I did it again. A few lights were on in the area. Some houses had jazz music playing behind. A few snores were also heard. I giggled. After putting the last of the pile on the line, I walked up the edge of the terrace to glance a look on the empty street.

The wind was low. I could feel the air in my hair. An eerie noise crept from somewhere. And suddenly I heard a whisper. "MISS ME?" Now I was convinced it was my brother playing tricks on me after watching Annabelle. Again it repeated. Again and again. Realization struck me as I was sure it wasn't my brother as it had a female voice. Whatever it was, I was eager to find out. I was having a look at the house opposite mine when I saw a figure on the terrace of their house. It was right in front of me. The emptiness between the two houses separated us. I gasped. It was the figure of a little girl dressed in blue. Eyes so huge and open hair. She was smiling. Now as clear as daylight( Thought it was night time), I heard her say"Miss me?".

Now I wasn't the nervous wreck who would have panic attacks or break down at the sight of something like this.

I stood stiff and looked back at her. And after some moments I gave her a glare of my own. Though I didn't know how it was, I was sure it was some girl playing with me. She was surprised by my glare and stamped her feet. The fire rose from her hands. I was taken aback. I shut my eyes and pinched my skin to make sure it wasn't a nightmare.

When I opened my eyes, nothing lay in front of me. I turned my head, pretty sure it was a hallucination of some kind. I was getting down the stairs when I heard the same voice, " IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE WE MET, MISSED ME?"

I was angry and impatient. I said, "DON'T YOU THINK YOU CAN FOOL ME OR SCARE ME. JUST GET OUT BEFORE I SQUEEZE YOU LIKE A LEMON."

I got down and climbed my bed.

GASP!!! DID I TALK TO A GHOST? MUMMMMYYYYUYY!!!!!!!
