Independence Day, a time to cheer

But for some, it's a distant dream.

Girls and women, struggling to be free,

From chains of oppression

A constant plea.

Oh, where is the freedom

the liberty's call? 

For daughters to walk

without fear's thrall? 

When will justice prevail and darkness recede? 

For women to rise

and their spirits be freed

Let us stand together

And fight for the rights of every woman and girl in this land.

Let us create a world where they can thrive

Where their voices are heard and their spirits survive.
