Once upon a time, there lived a king named Shaurya. He loved to care for poor and ill people. It was a custom then that every King had to choose his successor. When the king grew old, he thought, "Let me also choose the next king. But how shall I choose ?" An idea struck him and then he made an announcement. He called all the capable children to the palace. Among them, there was a boy called Vedant. He was still young but he was known for his skill in caring for poor and ill people. The King divided children into two groups. Vedant was kept in the first group with some children and the second group contained the remaining children. The King said that you have to care for ill and poor peoples and then you have to collect votes from them. The group which collects the most number of votes,the captain of that team will become the king. Vedant's group went to the garden and had a discussion and in that discussion they decided that they would use the permanent solution. They would educate the poor and ill people.This is the permanent solution. As some days passed, they started doing this work. The other team was only helping the poor and ill people with money.

       After one year Vedant's team gathered 10% of the votes but the opponent team gathered 90% of the votes. Then the king called both the teams. The opponent team teased the Vedant's team, "What happened to you?". Vedant's team was ashamed. But the king thought that the opponent team had  helped  the ill and poor peoples by giving money only and the Vedant's team gave education, the permanent solution to the poor and ill people. So the king announced that Vedant you are truly worthy of being a king. After me, you will be the new king of this kingdom. The opponent team was ashamed of its plan and thoughts.
