Diwali in Summer

Dear Diary, 

   

It is the twelfth day in Nationwide lockdown.

It is like an unusual Diwali today. In India, we celebrate the Diwali festival in October or November month as a celebration of Ram's return to Ayodhya after killing Ravana on the day of Dusshera.

   

There is another legend that says a demon called Narakasura killed by Satyabhama and Krishna on Naraka Chaturdasi. The next day everyone celebrated by lighting lamps.

   

Diwali gives a message that evil gets defeated by Good one day.

   

As our PM Narendra Modi Ji asked the Indians to lit a lamp of unity on 05-04-2020 I witnesses there is a glow of Diyas in balconies and outside of homes.

   

It appeared as Diwali in Summer.

I hope the light of diyas gives us new energy to stay strong in these tough times of the Corona Virus outbreak.
