She was thrilled and left puzzled. She was woven deep inside her thoughts and trying to figure out what things actually meant, that's exactly when she was distracted furiously by her father. He saw her with rage and seemed quite suspicious, Charu hesitantly questioned for his behavior. But his anger had no bounds.

Charu thought if she had done something wrong which could cost this but she had no answers. He slammed the chair down and snatched the book from her hand and tore it apart and said, " You nor your mother could ever do a useful thing, but just stand with the same novel. "Later, she realized that book from library was her mother's favorite book.

Charu was thrown to her back and thought what could ever make her relationship better with her father, she was totally devasted thinking about what in the old, dusty book could certainly poke him so hard.  

She was totally shocked and drowned in agony but she really wanted to find out the reason behind all of this. She took the photo from the book in her hand, she wasn't able to bear his act; tears rolled her cheek, she couldn't stop crying. Those little drops of melancholy ended up on the Polaroid photo doing great wonders.

At the corner of the photo, ink spread into their little ways creating a real, crucial message for Charu. It said, " For Charu, you were the most important part of my life but there is something that you need to know about. . . . . "

Charu was torn down into pieces and it seemed like the whole world was crashing to her; it all seemed like a dream to her, mixed feelings crept over her and millions of questions lingered in her mind. What was reason behind all of this? Who wanted to she talk about?Why was this in the book and what was this code about?

But she made a really strong decision that whatever her mother wanted to explain, she would definitely find out. All of her motor senses had completely shut down after everything that happened but one of her senses advised her that something could be related or her mother would have left some clue.

Thats when it struck her, 'the code and the map' without thinking anything she skimmed through, she ran to ' hotel Abeline', which was the starting point in the map and her mother's favorite restaurant.

It seemed that she was all alone, her heart pounded more faster than light and seemed like all her hopes withered gradually.

She was at ' hotel abeline' with confused and shocked mind,trying to communicate with manager of the hotel. She asked him to recognize her mother by her photograph, if he anyway knew her, he refused to share anything.

That was the time when it seemed everything was failing, she felt completely hopeless and she weaved through millions of strings.

But always sun shines replacing darkness, there was someone who patted Charu's shoulder, it was an orderly aged man, quiet frail but tears in his eyes," He said, Katherine,your mother was a great human being, I know her and what exactly happened that dark night, it was 14th February, the day of love. Your parents came here to celebrate; while having dinner your parents had huge argument, your mother slapped your father and ran crying into room no. 9. Your father followed her. I was outside their room, standing for room service but unfortunately I saw something that still haunts me, they had some big fight over something which later got physical and till the time I could call someone else it was too late, Your father killed your mother, it was a cold blooded murder. " And then he started sobbing.

Charu froze to death, her life had paused. She was just not able to believe the fact. She refused to agree what the waiter said but there was also something else to prove it. The code,' MV02FK09'.

Charu missed a beat, She just wanted to prove all this wrong but the map ended to the way back 'Home'. There was no reason left to live but she wanted to know the reasons. Why would his father do this?!

Her all the motor senses shut down and she was completely drowned in sullenness and had gone through a trauma. She ran to her father crying out loud, she grabbed his collar in anger and yelled at him about all of this but in return she got no explanation thats when her heart missed a beat; standing on the end of the rope which could break anytime. Later, he confessed to police inspector that Katherine got to know about his affair so they had an argument.

Charu wasn't able to endure the agony and after whatever happened she had hope in her mind that her mother would have had peace and made a mindset to study hard at NYU law school and fulfill her mother's dream.
