Discipline

A powerful voice and strict instructions were being heard from some distance away. Oh...The headmaster is coming, said Asha to Nikita. All were quiet. While the headmaster entered class VI, Asha and Nikita along with other classmates stood up and greeted in a chorus, "Good morning Madam". Sir down, sit down replied the Madam indicating with hands. Then the headmaster looked here and there and asked who is your class monitor. Ram stood up and said, "Madam, I am the monitor." Why this classroom is so dirty? Madam asked with a stout voice. Ram replied, "Sorry Madam, actually, Laxmi aunty has not come today, that's why the classroom was not cleaned today. Hmm...ok said, Madam. But Ram, don't you think this is the duty of you guys because you are the part of this classroom, again with a stout voice, said the headmaster to all the students of class VI.

Madam with adding few lines said, " students, this is your classroom. You are the caretaker of this. Apart from studies, you need to take care of the cleanliness, the belongings, the discipline of your classroom. Do not be dependent upon Laxmi aunty. What if Laxmi aunty will not come for another two days? This will be left like this. You all should come together to clean your classroom, your area because this is the place where you learn. And if you will not learn the discipline, then you learned nothing. Studying only books does not symbolize a good student either a good class or batch. You all will be glorious in the long term through your character, manner, sincerity, and discipline. So try to learn it.

I know Ram is the monitor, but that doesn't mean he will do everything and he is only responsible for the dirtiness. No, each one of you is responsible for this and should responsible for the further maintenance of this class.

Madam then said, "I instruct all of you to start this practicing from today itself. Ram, being the monitor of the class will arrange several groups, each of five students maximum, according to the roll numbers and will allow them on the basis of working days.

All the students agreed with Madam and with the leadership of Ram they started doing their duties on a regular basis. All of them learned a good lesson and turned it into a good habit.
