Cream and Cookies

A relationship between a brother and sister does not necessarily have to be a blood relation or a sibling relationship. There is one such beautiful relationship that I share with my “brother from another mother”. We share a stronger bond than most of the sibling bonds. He is 3 years elder than me and this makes our relationship even more beautiful as he treats me like a kid. At this very moment, I can proudly say that my brother is my lifeline and I cannot imagine my life without him. I first met him in the year 2018 in Delhi. In the whole 7 days of the Language class we did not talk to each other even once.

After the class, the whole batch was added in a group and from there, we got to know each other. Slowly and gradually, we developed a secure bond of a brother and a sister. As we both stay in different cities, we do not get to meet very often. In spite of this, we share very a strong bond. He has always been with me through thick and thin. He is my good father who has always guided me for better and has been a wonderful brother. Over the years, we have developed such a wonderful and unbreakable bond which is even more beautiful than any sibling love. You must have heard lots of brother and sister stories, even I have a story to tell which is very close to my heart. So, the story goes like this - I always wanted to visit Delhi and finally, after desperately waiting for 1 year. I got a chance to go to Delhi.

It was a mutual friend’s wedding out there. I was so enthusiastic about the trip and the wedding. I started my preparations 15 days in advance. Finally the day arrives when I finally boarded Sampark kranti train to Delhi. I went with my best friend who is again a common friend of ours. It took us 7 hours to reach Delhi. My brother made me feel like a princess and it was such a wonderful feeling. We attended the wedding in the night and came back at 3:00 AM. The next day, we were all set to explore the beauty of Delhi. I must say it is a very beautiful place and worth visiting. We explored Karol Bagh Market, Agrasen Ki Baoli, Purana Quila. We took stunning selfies with a creative backdrop.

We went boating in the lake nearby and a sound, light show in the evening are special attractions. We roamed around the park and Clicked lots of pictures. Its scenic beauty cannot be explained in words. We all cherished our memories out there. Our Brother and sister bond took an even stronger turn after this trip and our love just grew too. It is truly magical and special forever too. We can say that the relation between brothers - sisters is like Cream and Cookies. In the end, I would like to conclude that it is a precious relationship created by god. Although, me and my brother, do not share the same blood, we share the same soul, and sharing the same soul is even more beautiful.
