Charu and The Mermaid Evolution

Branch 1 (Social mystery with romance) 

My submission:

Doctor! She is getting consciousness.

The nurse informed Dr Mounika. Mounika rushed to Charu who is kept in a special ward. 

Charu opened her eyes like a flower that doesn't want to bloom. 

The pathologist never writes correctly anything in her duty. Mounika murmured while seeing the report.

Charu, how do you feel? Mounika touched Charu's forehead gently. Mouni! Where am I? Charu asked with confusion.

Here. You are in New York. Why do think you will be somewhere else? Mounika sat on the chair and held Charu's hand.

Charu and Mounika are school friends who are in touch with each other in New York. 

Charu! You fell unconscious in the city library two days before. We found you are weak both physically and mentally. 

You need rest. Please sleep. Mounika advises in a relaxed manner. Charu's head felt heavy and she slowly fell asleep. 

After some time, she woke up and sees the daylight and senses the smell of fishes. When she tried to remember the surroundings it is not a hospital. It looks like a big aquarium outside. She is lying in the centre of it without any water. Around the glass walls, there are fishes and other sea creatures swimming. She tried to move but her legs were tied. She can't see the legs. It's like a fishtail over there. Her body is not covered with any dress. A blue coloured cloth kept on her body.

Charu tried to call Mounika. Someone is walking towards her. As the footsteps sound approached her ears she closed her eyes intentionally.

Mounika walked towards her with a young man.

Don't you think the boss has to know about the progress? The young man asked while caressing Charu's fishtail.

Don't worry. Let her be the complete mermaid first. Then we have to reproduce the babies from her. Then we can inform the boss.

Mounika injected some serum into the thighs of Charu.

Charu felt numb after listening to them. 

Will she get succeeds? The young man raised his eyebrows while asking.

I hope so. Otherwise, she will be food to the blue whales. Have you called Abhay? Mounika said.

Yeah. He is still searching. The young man answered.

Mounika and the young man walked out and slowly Charu opened her eyes. She looked around and tried to move. Her left thigh is turning into the scales of a fish. With all the energy left in her upper body, she pushed herself to the side of the table. Charu fell to the floor. She tried to move by putting in terrific efforts. The surface is smooth and her thighs and legs are almost becoming a fish body.

The cloth-covered on her body is torn and Charu's muscles are hurting. She spotted a merman swimming in the water downside. Charu exchanged looks with the merman. She kept her head down and the merman came near to Charu.

The merman understood Charu's expression and started breaking the glass wall. Soon an octopus and a lot of vampire squids started hitting the glass wall.

The wall broken and Charu fallen into the water. Merman arranges a dolphin to carry Charu. All of them reaches a secret place in the ocean. 

When Mounika returns to check on Charu she sees the container is getting filled with water and other creatures.

The next day Charu opened in an old fish which has a roof with holes. The Sunrays were entering from the top of the ocean and she moved by taking a breath heavily. 

The octopus caressed her hair and she felt it was a safe place. The merman entered the old ship which they used to keep Charu safe. 

The merman talked with Charu in human language. She is awestruck by the incidents that happened recently in her life.

All she could do is crying. The merman introduced himself as Aeon. 

Charu's thighs became like a fish already. But, she can move now.

Who are you? Charu asked Aeon. He started saying about his life.

My parents were lived here. A few years back some humans captured them. Usually, we die a natural death. But, the humans did some experiments on them. That made me lose my parents.

They tried to reproduce the mermaids in the secret laboratory in which you have also seen. From there only we took you here.

From that day I am roaming around that laboratory to find what they are doing. Because they do not want to kill mermaids. They want to create us in that lab. First I wanted to destroy the lab, but afterwards, I was just trying to know the secret before killing them.

But, how come they never seen you? Charu asked in disguise. 

All mermaids have magic powers which are inherited from nature. I can hide in the water and even become human like you.

See, Aeon said and disappeared. 

A handsome man appeared in the next minute. He is walking and moving. Charu felt something shy after seeing a nude man moving around her. She then observed herself without any clothes on her.

She moved backside of rock. Aeon understands she is feeling embarrassed.

Aeon said it's okay. He talks ie sign language. The octopus plucks the big leaves of sea plants. Aeon gives her the leaves and Charu covers her body with them.

Charu said she wanted to go to land. But, what about this mermaid experiment? She asked while touching the tail which replaced her legs.

Don't worry. You are not a mermaid completely. You still have a human body. Once you reach the land, you have to burn the fish layer which was artificially formed on your lower body. My parents must be tried to escape from the laboratory but I don't know why their magic is not worked.

Aeon said while the octopus is playing with his long hair. 

I am sorry for your parents. Will you help me to go outside? Charu requested him.

Sure. We will go tonight to lesser-known places of the ocean. Humans can't enter those places. In the morning we can reach the land and we can make you human.

Aeon shapeshifted to its original form and took Charu's hand into his hand. She hugged him to say thanks.

Octopus and dolphin joined them to go towards the land. A big explosion happened in the ocean at the same time.
