Brave Priyanshi
Brave Priyanshi
In a quaint little town lived two sisters, Udita and Priyanshi, along with their loving parents. Both girls excelled in their studies and activities, but Priyanshi, the younger sister, possessed a notably sharper mind and quicker wit than Udita. Despite this, Udita often teased her little sister, making light of her ideas. Priyanshi, however, always met these jibes with a gentle smile, never letting anger cloud her good nature.
One sunny afternoon, returning home from school, the sisters decided to play outside in the nearby field. After diligently finishing their homework, they headed out.
"What shall we play, dear sister?" Priyanshi asked, looking around the open field.
"We'll build a magnificent sandcastle!" Udita declared, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
They eagerly gathered their tools – a small bucket and a digging spade. Marking out a grand area for their architectural marvel, they began to collect sand, meticulously shaping their creation. The castle, once complete, was truly beautiful, a testament to their combined effort, and both sisters beamed with pride.
Their joy was soon interrupted by the agitated barks of two dogs, fighting nearby. Priyanshi, sensing trouble, immediately suggested they go home. "Let's go, Udita, quickly!" she urged.
But Udita, engrossed in their playtime, dismissed her sister's concern. "Don't be silly, they won't bother us. Let's stay and play!"
Suddenly, the dogs started running wildly, their fight spilling closer to the girls. Fear gripped them, and they both bolted, running as fast as they could. In the haste, Udita stumbled and fell, scraping her knee badly. A sharp cry of pain escaped her lips as blood welled up quickly from the wound.
Without a moment's hesitation, Priyanshi sprang into action. Her mind, ever so quick, found a solution. She swiftly pulled out her handkerchief and, with steady hands, pressed it firmly over Udita's bleeding knee, applying pressure to stem the flow. Miraculously, the bleeding began to subside.
Tears still streaming, Udita looked at her little sister with profound gratitude. "My dear Priyanshi," she choked out, "I am so incredibly sorry. I always make fun of you and never listen to your ideas. Thank you for being such a wonderful sister."
Priyanshi simply offered a gentle, understanding smile. "Never underestimate anyone's ideas, Didi," she said softly. "If someone shares an idea, it's wise to listen and consider it, for you never know when it might be exactly what you need. Come, let's go home."
Back at home, their mother was shocked to see Udita's bloody knee. But as the sisters recounted the entire incident, a wave of relief and admiration washed over everyone. Priyanshi's quick thinking and compassion were lauded by the whole family, and she, true to her humble nature, simply continued to smile.
Moral of the Story: Never make fun of others, and always value and consider everyone's ideas. You never know who might hold the key to a solution!
