Bizzare dream

"Dad,what's the reason behind your ecstasy?"Abhi blurted out . Arnav came out of his reverie,giggled and replied " I'm going to meet my college friends after 10 years"."Are they coming home"Abhi uttered . Arnav rejoiced and said "Yes,my three best friendsKaran ,Arun,Vijay are coming home .They said that they will be here at 10'0 clock .I'm eagerly waiting for their arrival"."Are there children also coming?"Abhi asked with excitement ." No"his father replied . By hearing this abhi's smile faded away. To change his mood Arnav started to tell about his college memories their mass bunks, clandestine visits to girls hostels, college fest,North India tour......

  Suddenly,bell rang. Arnav opened the door he grinned and hugged his friends joyfully. They entered into hall and reclined on the sofa .Arnav offered soft drinks to them.

  They chattered about their professional and personal lives . They reminisce about good old times .It's always fun to reminisce about the past because we can't alter it!

   Seven year old Abhi found their conversation boring as he could merely understand their conversation ,took the remote and on the TV . news about a man who was died of sexual assault by four women flashed on the TV. The victim's family claimed that fortnight ago the man was sexually assaulted and throttled by four women succumbed to death this morning."He was doomed"karan said dismally. "The government should punish these perpetrators severly" Arun uttered gloomily. "Despite of many strict laws, he teams these assaults are inevitable. The way we raise our children is going to impinge their lives when they become adults. We always teach our boys don't wear short clothes,don't go alone,sit properly.....there is no limit to these restrictions. The day when we start teaching our daughters how to behave with boys then this rampant sexual assaults will cease ."Arnav stated grievously."Even in social media men have to face assault. I don't know why it's so easy to vilify men . Having vagina doesn't make them superior . We can study like them,we can earn like them. We are no way less than women. They should stop patronizing us. This matriarchy should end " Vijay said sadly . Seven year old Abhi perplexed and horrified by hearing their conversation asked " Dad do all women are bad?". "No, some are good too!" Arnav exclaimed.

   Alarm rang - 6'0 A .M. 

Arnav was bewildered, a few minutes later he realized that it was a dream. He wondered whether it happens somewhere in the parallel universe. Even though the dream was surreal but the misogyny is the reality. Instead of acknowledging women, we are irreverent to them. Refraining thoughts in his mind he got off the bed and moved into kitchen he saw his wife preparing breakfast - Priya ,whom he married ten years ago was always been supportive to him ,never bickered, stood with me through thick and thin . He was guilted for not appreciating her work. For the first time in their ten year married life he acknowledged her effort. He started cleaning bowls to help her. Priya was startled and asked "what happened? Are you okay?"

Arnav smiled and said "I'm Alright".

"Then ,why are you doing this?" Priya questioned. Arnav replied "let's love,share ,care each other!"
