A rising star.

Nazrana Ahsan Wani, a young author, athlete, and ambassador, hails from the picturesque district of Bandipora in Kashmir, a place blessed with snow-clad mountains, blooming buds and the enchanting Wular Lake. While she diligently pursued her academic dreams in the science stream, it was her boundless love for writing that truly fueled her spirit. Writing, to Nazrana, is akin to the tranquility found in each breath as she believes that words, when used with precision and divine intent, possess the power to heal the wounds of the soul. Her writing, steeped in deep contemplation and keen observation, resonates with the chords of the heart, leaving an indelible mark. Remarkably, her journey as a writer commenced during her 8th standard and since then, she has co-authored more than 30 anthologies, including three "World Book of Record" anthologies, and authored her solo work, "Shadowless Evening" a rhymed poetry collection and four other novels.Her literary prowess has garnered her 150 accolades, including the "Best Author" award, Limelight Awardee and "Best Youth Icon of 2021." Nazrana has also been recognized as the first girl from Kashmir to receive the prestigious "Indian National Idol" award, in addition to other nominations and recognitions. She has been featured in various newspapers, magazines and blogs and is a selected writer at Split Poetry India and a 'Literary Lieutenant' in the 'Army of Literary Warriors' at Story Mirror. Notably, her talents extend beyond writing, as she holds a red belt and has clinched two national medals in Sqay Martial Arts. As an Official Campus Ambassador intern at International Model United Nations, she continues to make strides. Nazrana attributes her success to her family, her coach Jamsheeda Yousuf, her English pedagogue Shiekhzada Mudasir and her maternal uncle Muneer Ahmad Mir. She also acknowledges her support system, including her Bestfriend,and those who have uplifted her throughout her journey. With over 30 co-authored anthologies and her book "Shadowless Evening," a collection of poems that explore the human experience, Nazrana's writing is a beacon of affection, hope, strength,and love, demonstrating a deep understanding of life's complexities and the importance of spreading love and unity.
