Assumptions? Why?

I wanted to use this platform to actually understand why don't people get it when I say 'stop assuming!.' I strongly believe assumptions are prerequisites for presumptuous. For the past 27 years of my life I have always observed people making assumptions about me and everyone around. Like, come on someone is white skinned doesn't mean they are "doll like" and symbol of beauty. A "beautiful" women is not smart. A short man is a loser. Students who get good grades are successful in life. You help someone in need you are strong minded, the same you, cry when you lose something you are weak minded. I can go on forever. Who set these rules of a "perfect life"? and why are most of them trying to fit in that box. I am living in a "modern world" and I am criticized for wearing a kurta - pyjama, I don't understand how adapting some other countries culture and clothing becomes modern? I was not allowed in most of "Indian clubs" for sporting a kurta. Unbelievable! We should embrace different cultures but why criticize our own? People assume I am reserved and an introvert because I am not on any "social networking platforms." why? why? I laugh at these people because I cannot do better than that. I look strange for even trying to explaining anything.

I have only one thing to say, don't make assumptions on what you see because a person reacts to a situation. A person has a choice of her own.
