That guy who seems to be pedantic now has a melancholic history of being a sidekick. The poignancy of the insults he faced is still preying on his mind. The only way left for him was to escape from this stupid Hero versus Sidekick dichotomy. And prove himself again and again. But soon, he realised that I am not an egomaniac, that these things could have an impact upon me. And he saw himself as a cation, which loses electrons to be stable. Similarly, he lost everything that used to be the insignia of his identity and now he feels relaxed. And devoid of any existential crisis, he lives without the fear of losing respect. For him, now respect and disrespect are the same. Because he knows that in between the journey towards the greater good and the individual self, there is a bridge of thorns. And at the end, he achieved that, which liberates everyone including himself.

What could be the more polite yet powerful answer to the ones who used to bully him? Now he is void of tantrums, void of anything that shakes the inner equilibrium. You can troll him as much as possible, I bet he will not retaliate. Because he has learnt the art of philanthropy. And he possesses no axe to grind, he who carries the alms bowl, has the precious wealth of forgiveness.
