Appreciation (Part 5)

Continued from part 4.....

When he saw her message, he was quite shocked and surprised. This was supposed to be a huge turn for both of them in their relationship. They were facing a lot of ups and downs those days. He was waiting for the clock to stuck 5. He was not even able to concentrate upon his work. He was wondering what she would have decided? Is it yes or no? Slowly slowly, instinct and fear of losing her overpowered his mind. Then, the trust of his love crossed his mind and overpowered his so-called instinct. He was preparing himself for the best and the worst. The best that she would say yes and the worst - he lost her. It was like, the time had frozen and cease to continue.

 On the other hand, Neetu was really busy in her office. Some projects were pending, which she had to complete. She didn't even realise how the time passed. She skipped her lunch too. Her day was way too hectic. For the timing, she even forgot about their meeting. At about 4:30 pm, she got free from her conference and her boss had given her some work, which she needs to achieve by the end of the day. She got involved.

 He was waiting for her at the venue. But, he didn't call her. He thought she might be busy. So, it's better not to disturb her. 

She was so much engrossed in her work that she even forgot the time and 'someone was waiting for her' - this thing skipped her mind. She completed her project at about 6: 30 pm. She was already getting late for home, she ran for the cab. She was using her phone in the cab when she realised her phone was running short of charging. She couldn't do anything but was helpless. Her parents were worried about her. She came home and admitted a sorry and told them about the whole project thing, extra work and then the phone. She got freshen up and got busy with her office work. 

He was still waiting for her. He felt heartbroken. He felt that she had done it intentionally. When he fed up waiting for her, he called her and her phone were switched off. He tried calling her but he didn't succeed. He was literally shattered. That was even worse than the worst he had expected. He believed his instinct had come true. He was angry at both of them - himself for raising this issue and on her for doing this shitty thing and playing with his feelings. He was being tortured unnecessarily. Despite all of this, he waited there because he loved her and didn't want to regret if she would come. He was still in the hope that she would come at any time. He had tears in his eyes when he left from there. He left reluctantly cursing himself and his destiny. 

Meanwhile, she had her dinner. She charged her phone. She wondered why didn't he call her for the whole day? Since two years, there wasn't a day when they didn't have their usual talks. Even, in their toughest times, they were there for each other, physically, mentally and verbally too. She felt strange. So she chose to call him. When she unlocked her phone, a message pop out - " 25 miss calls from Sahil". She was shocked. She then checked her WhatsApp. She realised she had herself texted him to meet at 5 p.m. 'How could she even forgot ??'. She instantly pinged him but his phone was unreachable, maybe due to some weather issues. She was worried about him. When she called him again, it was reachable but he didn't answer. She was continuously calling him but he didn't respond - not even a single call. She almost cried as soon as she realised her blunder. She even texted him but it didn't affect. He was adamant not to reply to her. He didn't want to show her his anger, guilt at that very moment. Things would be more worsen if he had attended her call. So he kept his calm and waited for the next day. They had a sleepless night. She decided to visit him the very next day. 

She woke up early and got ready. She left immediately to meet him. He was getting ready for his recording. He was just about to leave when she came.
