Appreciation (Part 10)

Continued from Part 9.....

It was enough to snatch little peace, Neetu got after a huge turmoil of incidents happened one after another. It was a newspaper cutting. It was Sahil's interview.

Neetu passed a smile when Anjali turned the side of the newspaper. It was the actual news Anjali wanted to show her.

'Leading singer, Sahil's relationship, finally came out.'

Under this heading, the accident was mentioned but with a different point of view.

The accident mentioned Sahil's love for Sarika. Neetu was way more stunned. Her parents came running to her after she sat with a thump. She had tears in her eyes. Her parents, especially her father took her side and assured her that everything would be fine. They won't let any more misunderstandings ruin their relationship. He would talk to Sahil himself. He called Sahil and asked him to visit them. Sahi got worried and asked him what happened to which," I just want to see you right now. Come as soon as possible."

" Is everything alright ?? Is Neetu fine...??"

" She is absolutely fine. Come soon."

Meanwhile, Sarika and her family came.

Sarina's father was a little bit pissed off. " I saw the newspaper. What the hell is written in it? There must be some misunderstanding, for sure. Did Sahil intentionally did it?"

" Did what? What I had done? What are you talking about?"

" As if you don't know. " Sarika's father interrupted him.

" No uncle, I really don't know. I did nothing."

He gave him the newspaper.

"Now, you would say that it's not you here."

" Ya, But... I didn't know anything. How did this happen....... What's this... Uncle, where is Neetu? I want to meet her ."

" She is there."

" Why you want to meet Neetu. Isn't this enough for you. You had already done a lot with our daughter... "

He kept going on.

" Neetu...You... You know me na. I didn't.....I had not done it. There must be some misunderstanding...Please talk to them. Do you believe me ?"

"Yes. I do. "

"I ...I only love you."

" I know."

"I didn't know that media would bring this case that way...."

Both were consoling each other.

"What?? How do you guys know each other? Will you please tell me something about this. what's happening here ??"

" Nothing much. It's just..." Neetu's father tried to explain to him.

" It's just me and Neetu are in a relationship and we were planning to get engaged but these recent incidents had been interrupting it for a long while."

" What.. I mean ...How?? Why didn't you guys told us in the hospital itself, when I introduced all of you to Sahil?"

Neetu and her family were elated.

" What... Engagement...Are you serious?"

" Uncle, I am sorry for everything happened. I know you were against our relationship since the beginning......."

" Why are you talking about the past ?"

" It means you are ready for our engagement ..."

" Yes, my child."

Meanwhile, Neetu and Sahil's family contacted each other and the engagement was mutually finalized for the day after tomorrow.

" Let's go to work. We have a lot to do." Everyone divided the work.

Neetu wasn't sure. She repeatedly asked Sahil if he was sure. What makes him change his mind.

Sahil tried to change the topic every time. But he couldn't control it more. So he told her, " I always wanted you in my life. We had seen many ups and downs. But this time, it questions our love. My love for you. Nobody can't make any other girl my love. It's you. I can do anything to prove it. It was this time, when no one gonna believe me, until and unless it's something official. So, I decided for engagement."

" I love you, my love."

"But listen, don't ask me for marriage. You know very well."

" Yes, baby. I won't "

" Now you got your answer. Let's get involved in preparations."

Neetu wants the ceremony to be simple but everyone else wanted it to be a lavish one.

Soon the day arrived.

Neetu was beautifully dressed in a mellow green dress. No one could resist her.

Guests were arriving. Everyone came except Sahil. They were worried. Neetu got panicked. Everyone was trying to contact him.

Neetu got a call and she ran outside.
