Angry Door

Angry Door

I was walking by the street, blabbering about all the things that went wrong. I was furious about how things weren’t turning into my favour.

I felt someone watching me, I could see nothing but the doors. Suddenly, I heard some knocks. Still there was no clue of anyone around.

For that one moment, I was more scared than angry. I was puzzled at the noises. I was trying to convince myself by believing that it was some kid messing around with me.

It took me a while to understand that it was actually the red door which was trying to tell something. I couldn’t understand. All I heard were the bangs and strong thuds.

I moved past it, towards my home. I didn’t want myself to wonder more on where those sounds came from.

The next day, I was walking through the same street and passed the same door to test if the door made any of those sounds today. To my surprise, the door whistled today. It wasn’t a knock, neither a bang nor a thud. It was a mere whistle, as though the door was humming a happy song.

I was grumbling again today. And door threw open itself when I passed and spoke to me, "I reflect your thoughts, the angry you are, I am too. The happy you are, I am too."

I then realized it was inner voice that came out from the door of my mind, the red represented my rage and fury.
