Varanasi…

It was bit breezy and smoky in the night. There was a person sitting alone on the banks of river Ganga.

Who is he? And Why is he sitting alone?

He is Arjun. Arjun is an IT manager at an MNC company. He achieved good goals at a young age. He seems very satisfied with his own life. There were no big problems in his life. He wakes up early in the morning. Exercise regularly. Goes to his office and tackles all his work smoothly, comes back home and sleeps well.

One day, his family insisted him to come along with them to a planned Varanasi trip. Arjun’s sister booked all the tickets. Arjun didn’t want to go. He needs to take leave for 2 days. But on one night, they started to Varanasi in a train. They reached early in the morning. Their temple visit is on the next day. Arjun doesn’t believe in God. His way of understanding of life is different. He believes that we are here on earth to work and live happily. In some way, Work is God is a good belief. But Arjun also believes that relationships lead to complications and remain pain. So, he personally doesn’t have attachments with anyone.

He brought his laptop to the trip to do some work. Since the signals were weak in the place, he came to banks of river in search of good signal. He didn’t get the signals though.

He is stepping down through steps and started to slip and falling down. But suddenly, a man came and hold him. Arjun immediately moved away and said don’t touch. He is an Aghora. He doesn’t look like an Aghora that Arjun is looking many since that morning. He seems bit different and some energy around him. Arjun sat alone on that steps of banks of river Ganga. Aghora came to him and sit beside him. Arjun moved to a bit distant.

“Arjun! You are a good person” said that Aghora suddenly.

“What! How do you know my name?” asked Arjun.

“Aghora laughed out loud. Hahaha! There was no magic or so called maya, mantram. I have just seen your name on your laptop screen” said Aghora.

“Oh! Okay. But how can you tell that I’m a good person?” asked Arjun.

“It shows you are sincere in your work and thought you were good” said Aghora.

“How’s Varanasi?” asked Aghora to Arjun.

“I just came today morning. I haven’t seen much and not visited the temple yet” said Arjun.

 “You will have a great experience here” said Aghora.

“Since how many of years are you staying here?” asked Arjun.

“It was long long back that I came here. It was a long story” said Aghora.

“Where is your family. Wife? Children?” asked Aghora.

“No. No. I’m not married. I don’t believe in relationships or Love” said Arjun.

“If you can’t love then you are not meant to be here” screamed Aghora.

“Who are you to tell about me and my life. These love and relations remain only pain. These are fake. Humans are selfish. There’s no love such exists.” Screamed Arjun.

“Okay. What is your goal?” asked Aghora.

“To be promoted to higher level in my company. So, I’m working hard.” Said Arjun.

“Okay. You may get promoted. What’s next?” asked Aghora.

“I want to be a billionaire” said Arjun.

“Okay. Later?” asked Aghora.

“Are you making fun of me. What do you mean asking what’s next. That’s it. I want to be billionaire” said Arjun.

“Look Arjun. Having goals and working hard to achieve is must for anyone.

But whatever the goal is, it is all normal once you reach there.

To love and to be loved is the reason that you are here on earth. Your family, your friends, the people you love is the most excited thing that’s created on this planet.

I think you are matured enough Arjun. Just think.

Just try to imagine yourself in your goals reached. It is all same. But the people and Love is the only excitement that you can get wherever and whenever in your life.” Said Aghora

Arjun was deeply looking at the river and deep in his thoughts.

He turned his head and there was no one sitting beside him. That Aghora was not there.

But Arjun is realizing many things and again went deep into his thoughts.

Next day, they visited temple. When Arjun looked at the Linga, he saw the face of that Aghora that he have seen on the last night.
