A Visit to the Sets of TMKOC in Mumbai

Ranjan and Nishant live in Pune. They are school friends and also neighbors. They study in Wisdom World School, Hadapsar, Pune. Mrs. Radhika Dalvie is the principal of this school. She was conferred with the National Award for Teachers by the President of India, Hon. Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 5th September. She was the only principal from all C. I. S. C. E. schools to receive this recognition.

During their summer vacations in 2019, both friends had visited Mumbai with their parents and siblings. Nishant in particular is a great fan of Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah .

He became adamant in visiting the sets of TMKOC. Vikram, Nishant's father found out that it is located at Goregaon film city, also called "Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari". They decided to visit the sets in the morning time.

Next morning they reached the sets of TMKOC. Vikram had taken prior permission from Neela Telefilms,the producer of TMKOC. On reaching they saw the arrangements were being made for the shooting. They got a chance to meet Mr. Dilip Joshi and Raj Anadkat who play the roles of Jethalal and Tapu respectively. They were very friendly. They talked with and clicked many pictures with Nishant and Ranjan and their family members.

Then they met Mr. Amit Bhatt, who essays the role of Chachaji, Jethalal's father. He too was very mixing.

Mr. Sailesh Lodha (Tarak Mehta), Mandar Chandwadkar (Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide), Sonalika Joshi (Madhvi Aatmaram Bhide),Munmun Dutta (Babita Iyer) , Tanuj Mahashabde(Krishnan Iyer) were also present there.

They also saw many other temporary and permanent sets, a temple, garden, some monuments, etc which were located in close vicinity.

It was a most memorable visit. After spending three hours, all of them returned to their hotel.

Nishant again plans to visit the sets of TMKOC in 2021 after the corona crisis gets over. Presently he watches all the episodes and hopes that Dayaben Gada(Disha Vakani) returns and starts shooting soon!
