A Point

A Point

What is a circle? I would say it is points joined together in 360 degrees forms a circle. So how does these dots connect with each other? One often wonders. I think it is a complex process, not for someone as mediocre as me. Well, I have seen rather experienced what a circle means, and how tight-knit a circle is. People question a point's existence all if it is by itself and I have faced this quite a few times now.

It is not that I never tried to be part of any circle, but it was never meant to be. Sometimes I, as a point was so agitated that I broke the circle, few other times I was thrown out from the circle that I thought was meant to be, there were instances of circles dis-integrating all by themselves so that points can form circles of their own, few other times simply it was never a circle - rather a tangent. And if I was being encouraged to move into some other circle, I simply felt cut off.

Being a point in this wide world full of own circles is tough. You are part of the universe but not part of anybody's universe, I think this is what hurts. People tend to question you, because they see the physicality of your existence which is 0-dimension - no length, no breadth, no width. This is when one becomes desperate for a circle, but does one realize that they are part of this entire circle called life, which you have to follow even if there are tough times.

A dot or a point is nothing to other points in a circle, so much so that a point alone becomes point-less. And that they are never called within a circle. Although there is a chance that they can be called a locus, but again there are standard terms and conditions applied to be called a locus to a circle. Being a locus is even more difficult, because as I remember my high school math teacher decided to omit the chapter on locus altogether. Now people must be wondering how is this even possible. Well Being educated in a thoroughly indianized convent school, our teachers were supreme leaders in deciding what to teach us and what not to. Even the books that we issued from the library were scrutinized for no bloody reason. But it is how it is. My point here being that I along with a multitude of youngsters were always taught about the circle and its importance, and being a locus was not known. The argument that I provide here might seem "point" less, but to me, it makes sense at some level.

Anyways being a point for the longest time on this earth, I am entitled to say that it is not bad either. It makes one more introspective. It gives you plenty of times to think about oneself, and how one can improve. One may be "point" less to points in a circle, but the reality is that you are a point and one who denies your existence is a fool. A circle may be closed, but a point is well free and strong.

As my journey as a "point" less point continues, I wish one and all - all the very best in their lives.
