A Night Of Mystery
A Night Of Mystery
It was late night when Tarun heard a loud thumping sound on the roof. It woke him up and his parents as well. He decided to quietly slip out of his bed and tiptoe towards the window. He saw that his father was also trying to figure out from where had this noise come. Tarun's father checked the premises with their torches.
What they saw, shocked them as they saw a big bag. Tarun quickly ran to grab a staircase from their kitchen. The staircase was not in a good condition but still his father managed to climb to the roof and get the bag down. They knew that it would not be safe for them to open that bag, but still without having a second thought, they quickly opened the bag.
Both of them were astonished to see the thing which was inside that bag. "A bag with black powder", said Tarun in a loud tone. "Shh!" his father interrupted. "Talk slowly, we should inform the police first." Tarun went inside and grabbed his phone, dialed 100. They told the police about what all happened. The police instructed not to touch the bag again and said that they are coming as soon as they can.
The police came along with the bomb squad team. The team reported the it was an explosive. Everybody were shocked to hear this news. But each of them had a question in their minds- "who had thrown this bag here." The police cautiously took that bag to the police station.
Several weeks later, a phone call came to his father. "This is Inspector Avinash Singh. We've finally found that who had thrown that bag on your roof." The inspector said and asked them if they could come to the police station.
Tarun and his father went to the police station. The police inspector told them that these were the terrorists who threw that bag on their roof and had flew away in the parachute. The inspector told them the whole story, and also asked them not to worry as the terrorists are in custody.
The police inspector told Tarun, "Our police station wants to honour you with a reward." Tarun was very delighted & cheerful while his father was proud of him.
