A miser did not spend his money and converted his money into gold coins and hid them in his garden. Everyday he used to dig the place where he hid his gold coins and counted them.

Once a thief got to know about this .On getting a chance, he stole all the gold coins!

The next day, the miser went to his garden in the evening to count his coins, but alas! there was nothing!

He cried out loudly that a thief has stolen his gold!

His neighbor, who was a wise man, came out on hearing his cries!

On knowing everything, he asked that why he did not store his money inside his house? It would have been easier to use it when required!

To this the miser replied that he did not intend to spend the money, but only store it.

The wise neighbor then threw a stone into the pit and said to the miser to store that stone now, as it is of same value as his gold, since he did not intend to spend even the minimum amount required, and has now lost all that he possessed!

The moral of this story is that we should not be miser and should use the money that we have wisely! As overspending is bad, just like that underspending and not buying even the basic requirements is also not good.
