A Look Back Into Childhood!

It was an ordinary Sunday morning when Zee looked outside her rusted old window and saw a little girl in the house next to hers, trying to slice apples perfectly into pieces of equal size. She smiled faintly and recalled her younger self...

Zee too used to be very particular in doing her work in her own little twisted ways. May it be slicing up fruits or dressing up her doll, may it be painting on the cartoon faces her dad used to draw for her or making fruit juice on her own for her mother's birthday. At such a young age too, Zee used to be very clear in her thoughts, neat and perfect in her work. Oh, Enthusiasm? always full of energy, happening with her little naughty acts and full of ideas to make everyone feel special. Her mother used to say 'She is the heart of our family!'. 

All such childhood memories started running in her head and suddenly a doorbell rang. Zee smiled again a little and turn towards the door. She was surprised a little to see a big, fresh white lily flower bouquet and a big tub of her favourite butterscotch ice cream at her doorstep.

Zee took a glance around to see who left those gifts to her but no one was around. She picked up the bouquet in one hand with smile on her face and bent back again to pick a butterscotch ice cream tub and what she saw, two little red shoes with perfectly fasten laces standing still in front of her. She looked up and saw a little angle with a red fairy dress, high ponytail with a cute matching ribbon and a red rose in her hand singing..' Happy Birthday to you..Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday dear Granny...Happy Birthday to youuu..'. It was Sia, Zee's grand-daughter! Zee saw her and took her in her arms with a huge smile, sparkle in her eyes, tears rolling down on her face, she kissed Sia and said 'Thank you, Honey'.

All the while, Zee almost forgot her birthday but after so many years Sia brought her childhood back in her sweet little ways. It was Zee's 75th birthday today but Sia celebrated it, as if it's her 7th birthday again. Sia is 10 years old but she is super perfect as her granny. She collected all old pics of Zee from her wardrobe and decorated the house same as on Zee's 7th birthday her parents did. Zee was feeling just overwhelmed today, she could see herself in her grand daughter. 

And again all old memories started running through her mind, all smiles coming from her heart, she gazed at Sia and said 'She is the heart of our family!'
