A Kind Soul

Haruki Shiga packs the food keeps the food box aside and then takes the water bottle and fills it.

Kimiko comes running and hugs Haruki’s legs He suddenly gets shocked and water drops out from the bottle.

Sakura Yamauchi on a call with her mother comes to the kitchen and laughs seeing Haruki trying to argue with Kimiko.

Kimiko: Daddy, I told you to pack my favourite food.

Haruki: Listen to me mam, you have already completed your quota of tasty foods this week, as we are going out, you should eat healthily, it is also an important part of your nutrition 

Kimiko: I am not coming to the zoo

Haruki lifts Kimiko and Kimiko pinches the cheeks of Haruki and hugs him.

Sakura pauses the call takes a picture of the father and daughter hugging and continues her call.

At the zoo,

Zookeepers enter the place where each animal is kept to clean the place.

A zookeeper enters the place where elephant Aiko is kept.

The zookeeper who always plays with Aiko calls “Hey Aiko, Good Morning”.

Aiko, standing not facing the zookeeper, kept looking at all the families walking, seeing each person holding each other’s hands.

Aiko gets reminded of her family, a group of elephant human beings called “A Herd of Elephants”.

Aiko remembers how her family died due to scarcity of food and water and due to accidents while crossing the train.

Aiko stands still and keeps looking at the sky.

The zookeeper thinks Aiko might be looking at the clouds and leaves the place after cleaning.

Haruki and Sakura along with Kimiko enter the zoo.

Kimiko looking at all the animals exclaims with excitement describing each animal to Sakura while Haruki remains silent as He is asked by both mother and daughter to not explain so many scientific details about each animal to them.

Haruki and Sakura cross the place where Aiko is kept without noticing her.

Kimiko stands outside the place of Aiko, astonished about her size.

Kimiko with her water bottle in her hand tries to wave her hand and shouts to draw the attention of Aiko.

Suddenly Kimiko’s water bottle falls down into the place of Aiko.

Haruki and Sakura, noticing Kimiko missing search for her and see her outside Aiko’s place.

Haruki starts to scold Kimiko for leaving them and walking separately.

Sakura stops Haruki from scolding Kimiko and explains to her to not leave them while being outside.

Kimiko sobbing says my water bottle.

Haruki asks where?

Kimiko points to the place of Aiko and Haruki sees the small gaps in the safety gate through which the bottle has fallen.

Haruki looks around for any zookeepers.

Kimiko walks and stands close to the safety gate.

Aiko, noticing the crying sound and scolding sound, turned around a long time before to look at Haruki, Sakura and a crying Kimiko.

Aiko walks to the side where they stand and looks at Kimiko.

Kimiko points at the water bottle.

Aiko takes the water bottle by her trunk and takes it to the safety gate.

Haruki sees it and walks to get the water bottle.

Kimiko could not move her eyes away from Aiko.

Haruki, Sakura comes to stand close to Kimiko.

They smile at Aiko and take Kimiko to the next place.

Aiko sees the 3 and imagines herself, her mother and her father in the herd and Aiko walking with her mother’s protection.

Aiko cries and walks away after taking another look at Haruki, Sakura and Kimiko.
