A face in The Dark..continued

Oliver seemed to have lost the power to blink, utter or even fall fainted when he saw the watchman in the forest with a faceless face. Add to it the lantern being blown off by some sudden gush of breeze. And there stood Oliver. . . absolutely petrified unable to move even a finger.

How long he had been in the trance no one kept an account of. But just as it is said

"This too shall pass". . . the horrible undefinable moment did eventually pass. Oliver felt he could hear his heart beat once again, could move his fingers once more and the lungs could finally pull in some oxygen. With faltering steps in absolute darkness he headed towards his school building. How long he had walked Oliver was not aware of but suddenly he seemed to have returned to the world of human when at some distance he spotted a gleam and heard some incoherent sound.  

Trusting his I'll date for the night, Oliver scrambled his way to the spot and Lo and Behold!What did he see?!He saw some of his own 12th standard students and the school watchman talking and laughing excitedly about scaring their "dear Oliver Sir"out of his wits. The watchman was jubilantly displaying the "mask"of a faceless face to his audience as Harry , the most notorious boy propelled a battery run fan to blow off the lantern!.

Oliver couldn't take it anymore. He was left aghast by this prank of his own students and fell fainted for the first time in the course of the night at this savage prank of his close ones.
