A Cockroach Committed Suicide
A Cockroach Committed Suicide
There is a cockroach in my house. Sorry, there was a cockroach in my house. No, there wasn't just one but this one was the special one. He was happy or so we were supposed to think.
One day, I found him hanging from the cobweb in my bathroom. Who would have thought that the delicate cobweb which humans can so easily sweep could sweep away someone's soul? They say he was hanging there for the past 7 days. 7 days but no one noticed.
It must have taken him a lot of courage. But no one cried for him. Because he didn't have many friends. He used to keep himself busy at work day and night and night and day. What can anyone say!
But, was it really a suicide or an attempted murder or maybe suicides are always a murder but no one can really tell who exactly is the murderer unless you leave a suicide note which that cockroach obviously did not.
So, the investigating cockroach officer's prime suspects were a bottle of pesticide and the victim's ugly looking friend who hated him for God knows what. He had a motive but also had plenty of food which might or might not be important to get bail or to stay protected in the cockroach world, I don't know.
The officer scrutinized the case and came to the conclusion 1-year later that it was just a normal suicide and no one was involved.
Life went normal. It had taken max. 1 cockroach-day for his few acquaintances to forget him. So, they clearly didn't care if there was a suspect.
What happened next? The case and the coffin were closed.
Well, I tried to find out what or who killed him but to no avail. I have heard some cockroaches gossiping about the possibilities though. A few say that he was not happy as if being happy is so important to live, huh.
Some even say he wasn't able to be himself or do something for himself as if doing for others wasn't enough. There were others who said, everyone, has to go one day, let's not waste our time on it anymore.
And I think they all are right. It was one little cockroach in a home full of cockroaches. How does it even matter? It was just a normal suicide. And no one was involved. Directly.
