Looking out of my window I saw thick fog hang outside my room. ln the dim moonlight, the fog looked like clouds, descending on the Earth. How I wished I cloud go out and savor the beauty of the night, but here I was trying to catch some sleep, which avoided me. I felt restless twisting and turning in the bed. Sleep seemed to elude me.

I walked on the floor of my room, clutching the shawl to keep myself warm. Bored I switched on my television to watch a movie,'Pluto Attack' on the channel. It was an exciting movie of strange unpredictable creatures from Pluto, landing on Earth. They were welcomed by the American President and the people. However, releasing a pigeon as a sign of peace on the occasion, led to great misunderstanding. They turned violent causing great destruction to life and property, across the world. The situation turned grave as they destroyed the building and historic monuments, across the world. Just when the situation seemed hopeless, typical classical music played by a musician, made them flee the earth. The movie kept me spellbound, after which I stretched out on the bed and fell fast asleep.

Soon I heard a knock on the door. On opening it I found a strange-looking boy, who had to stick out of his head two antenna-like objects, over a hairy body. His owl-like yellow round eyes resembled the characters I had just seen in the movie. I screamed in the fight, but he said something in an alien language, at the same time gesticulating with his hands, indicating that he meant no harm. I stared at him in disbelief, unable to even scream. Sensing my fright, he gave me an object that looked like a translating, to put on my ears, so that I could understand his language. Putting it on my ears I learned that he had come from the planet pluto. He wanted to take me to his friend and show me his planet. I politely refused to tell him that I had my science exams the very next day and hence could not oblige. He extended his wiry like a hand in friendship, wary of him, I chose to do namaste instead. He sounded friendly, but I was scared, for I knew what would offend him.

He talked about his life on pluto, telling me that it was bigger than the Earth and not in the solar system. People there do not eat food, they survive on nitrogen, which is there in abundance. Seeing that I was impressed, he continued to brag about the superiority of his race. I bore with it for some time. However unable to take it longer, l politely requested him to let me sleep, for l had to wake up early, to attend school.

On hearing this he reacted with alacrity. Snatching the translator from my hand, he pointed his gun at me and flash l was in flames. I screamed with all my might, " help, help, this boy from pluto will kill me. " l suddenly felt a splash of cold water on my face. Opening my eyes l saw my mother peering down at me, "what's the matter son " said she. I was greatly relieved to see her and realize that it was all a dream...
