11 Full Moon Nights
11 Full Moon Nights
The door opened and Katherine, the senior investigator walked in. Silence spread across the whole room. She glanced at the vampire who was tied on the chair. Her smirk touched her eyes.
The Vampire was battling to escape from Katherine and her crew. She walked to him and took a seat in front of him. The vampire's eyes were glowing in pure red. She rested her hand on the table and leaned in front to talk to the vampire.
"Leave me!" He hissed with all his strength. His eyes were furious which indicated that all of her crew is gonna die.
"Leave you? Where?" She laughed almost but her eyes were fixed on him, searching for answers.
"You are going to regret this, Katherine!" He shouts a bit louder but she just smiled.
"I just want the truth, Peter. Why did you kill them?" She questioned him. His angry eyes were no longer red. It softened for a moment but returned to the red furious eyes again. He glanced at her and looked away.
"Because I wanted to!" He shouted.
"For no reason?" She scoffed and sat down on the chair with ease.
He controlled his anger and maintained silence for a moment, she stood up from the chair impatiently and waved her hand at the policemen, who walked out on her signal.
"Tell me, now." She offered him a peaceful conversation.
"If I tell you, it might bring you something bad." He managed to talk, his response was soft and quiet, it had a warning.
"Oh! I don't care. Just tell me or you won't return to your coffin." She threatened him back. He started to twist in the chair, pulling the handcuffs. He wanted to be free.
"No!" He protested at last.
She let out a soft sigh, her mood was getting worse and worse. She was mad, very mad, and started to think so she could bring up something which would make him tell the truth.
"Fine, you don't want peace, I get it. Let me talk about things in a bad way." She shoved her hands into her jeans pocket and took out an iron piece which she collected from the evidence. Vampires are afraid of iron, it burns their skin.
She ripped off the cover and then she pressed the iron piece into his hand and she watched him screaming in pain. The veins in his hand were starting to burn. He was getting weaker as she pressed it deeper.
"Tell me, I will leave you alone." She managed to convince him.
"No!" He growled and she looked down at his iron burnt finger.
"No?" She quickened a brow and pressed it even harder. He closed his eyes and tilted his head behind, he wasn't sure if he could take it anymore.
"Paris!" He shouted at last and she took the iron piece back into her hand.
"What?" She asked him.
He shook his hand because it hurt him so much. She looked at him hopefully, waiting for an explanation. She just wanted the truth.
"My wife," he breathed underneath.
"Tell me about her." She ordered but he glanced at her and sighed.
"She was special. She had the power to read my mind." He continued and his stare was on the ground.
"Had? You just said had!" She noticed.
He smiled a bit but it didn't touch his eyes. He looked relaxed and unaffected when he talked about his wife.
"Was she a vampire too?" She inquired, curiously.
"No, she was mortal. Like you. But so, kind and beautiful." He explained and chuckled softly as if he remembered something cute about her.
"What happened to her?" She asked.
"One full moon night. She was sacrificed by the Wiccans to gain powers. She was sacrificed in front of me." He looked guilty. He was sad and looked totally lost.
Paris must be the sunshine of his life, she thought.
"Where were you?" She asked him, her eyes were searching for answers.
"In my coffin." He replied steadily and tilted his head up to see her.
Suddenly, something clicked on her mind. She looked at him, her eyes widened out of surprise.
"How many Wiccans?" She asked and he just smiled and the lights flickered.
He was gone! She looked around nervously. There was only a note and nothing else. She opened and read it.
"11 Wiccans and 11 Full moon nights. Thanks for listening, Katherine. Rest in Peace." was written in raven ink.
Her face turned white when she realized that she was the only one who knows the truth. She turned around, slowly and saw Peter in a horrific way. His fangs were ready to suck her blood and kill her.
