Zilch

The musty grounds,

Lie cold awake,

I wonder why,

You never spake!

Sans warmth he lay,

Ne'er wishing to stay.

The perjury pushed sense,

Lay heavy on his conscience.

Fail to know what we seek,

We run knowing not to heed.

Sit for awhile, watch the stars,

Do you know, they heal your scars?

The umbriferous trees, just wait;

Not for themselves, but for you to shade.

The passerine, sings its merry tune,

Care to hear it sometimes, in June?

Seem to seek comfort inanimate,

Maybe, that's the biggest mistake.

It's a crazy world, they say;

With the Heavens above and Hell below,

It makes me laugh that way, you know!
