Zen Life
Zen Life

I dig daily and deep seeking an answer
To the question about what am I doing in life.
The answer is elusive, yet can't give up.
I look at what others do, ordinarily living their life
That is no consolation, don't feel elation.
I immerse in the here and now
Mind is on a leash, I keep somehow.
Equanimity in the daily life, no big highs or lows
At the end of the day grateful to life I take a bow.
A being lives only in the present
Consider it as a gift, worth every cent.
Past is pointless, future may be fruitless
Zen of life, if one gets it, rues less and less.
