You Do Not Care
You Do Not Care
I'm so talented but you do not care,
And why I ask, is the world unfair?
I gift wrap my flaws but you do not care,
I might as well let it all tear.
I give you my all but you do not care,
And when I ask, will I have a share.
I'm kind in cruelty but you do not care,
And someday you'll see, I swear.
Someday you'll see that I will not care,
I'll be myself for me, and gone in a flare.
I'll still be beautiful and I will not care,
Whether or not you hide or dare.
What will change and why won't I care?
I will know who to please, and who not to bear.
All my concern will disappear into thin air,
Never will I notice if you're even there.
Someday you'll see that I will not care,
For that I must live these days where you do not care.
