But I am the lioness who has fought for her meat.

They tried to possess me,

But I am a tempest too fierce for their tattered sails.

They tried to confine me,

But I was an eagle made for the highest skies.

They tried to suppress me,

But baby I am a battle cry of the braves.

They tried to embellish me with golden jewels,

But I am a warrior proud of my earned scars.

They tried to impute the laws of the land,

But I am a lone traveler who never belonged to one place.

They tried to petrify me of the big bad world outside,

But they forgot I have the power to attract positivity.

They tried to outshine me,

But I am a part of the cosmos that created the Sun.
