Work, Wink, Work
Work, Wink, Work
Is there no way to escape
This monotonous rat race?
Where we can live solemnly,
With peace and grace.
Targets are tall and unyielding,
Tortuous is the staircase.
The pressure of that surmounts,
Comes crashing like one mace.
Time gets shorter as we run,
And quicken our pace.
Relativity has taken a hike,
I now rest my case.
Bent the fabric of time itself,
Same also holds good for space.
Flowers look best when on plants,
Lose their luster in a vase.
And when I look in the mirror,
And gaze at the downcast face,
I am reminded that I need to
Buckle up, tighten my lace.
Scars plague my mind now,
Unblemished my flesh.
Just got to doze off
And start afresh!!!
