So many battles for

Possession of the earth,

Seldom yet the quests to

Find the reason for our birth.

Are we only born to 

Pillage and plunder?

Waiting for a chance

To tear one and all asunder?

Even so-called pacifists

Have themselves in their minds.

Simple acts of selflessness

Rarely now one finds.

Sparing a few moments

For the one that stays within,

Could open whole new avenues,

New worlds might just be seen.

The day we learn to put

A 'You' instead of 'I',

Soil transforms into the soul,

And opens up our eye.

A few drops of nectar

For parched up heart inside,

For millions, we might end up,

Friend, philosopher, guide.
