Witnessed A Murder
Witnessed A Murder
As the house was set aflame
I got the cold realization
Descending into depravity
Or
Falling for manipulation
Unable to see or judge
I continued to retch up
If I had thought I'd seen it all
How childish I was then
The raw reality stared at my face
It didn't chill my bones
But stole my sleep
I can't but wish to erase
Unexpected and unbelievable
I now laugh at humanity
God above there
Saved me from the burnt
My soul bled but stayed well
It is a phenomenon
That is quite rare
Whether to be grateful
Or to be astonished
it depends
But I shall not be punished.
