Without Teachers
Without Teachers
Without Teachers
WITHOUT TEACHERS
"Without teachers
There would be no class."
They stand amongst the top brass!
Love of learning,
Love of learners,
Love bringing them
Both together!
Raising the slow ones,
Pacing the naughty ones,
Reigning in the brainy ones,
Is a lot of hours
more than a day’s work!
Grading and
Moulding,
Shaping and badgering,
Teaching
Is a kind of
Sculpturing!
Given lumps
To shape,
That teeter
On the potter's wheel,
High on hopes,
Low on slopes!
Some jump off,
Some refuse to shape,
Some toil on
Persevering
To reach that perfect
State!
Going by the book
by hook or crook
To
Experience
Life,
To the fullest!
"Without teachers
There would be no class."
Man would be crude,
Rude,
Perhaps a prude,
With no finesse,
To evolve from gross
To refined,
A class apart!
At the end of class,
The bell goes at last,
Each one leaves with a baggage
Of courage,
To face what they must,
And apply with trust
What the teacher just taught!
"Without teachers
There would be no class."
It would, by far surpass
any other leaders
enmass.
Alas!
On the top of the ladder,
The final decider,
No one remembers
The teacher.
Lessons and pretensions
Are the order of the day,
Finances come into play!
Very rarely do they
Remember.
Who taught them this play?
For wherever they went
The taught displayed
The mettle of the teacher,
With pride,
Remembered
The little things
That was not taught in class,
Was what
Stood them in good stead.
Right from wrong,
A minute to discern,
Was all in the teaching
In the things unsaid!
And in the final
Count,
It
Would show
the teacher and the taught
Were one and the same!
A reflection
Of learning
And the learned!
Mirroring each other,
Standing up for each other,
Dignity and respect
Learnt at halo ed
Classrooms,
Whether
At Oxford,
Or Stanford,
Or a corporation school,
The lessons learnt
Are one and the same.
Of learning to be
Human and humane!
In the scheme
Of things.
One would definitely
Agree that
"Without teachers there
Would be no class"!
