When They Opened The Jewelry Box, They Could Not Believe What Was In It...

Some people are very indolent and addicted to life's pleasure, they want everything in their hands without doing any endeavour while some people do each and everything themselves and want to attain success through their own efforts.

My cousins fall in the category of people who are too sluggish that they don't want to sweat their brows but want everything (food, water, success etc.) without working one's fingers to the bone. They don't go to the shop and purchase things instead they have a craze for online shopping. The order each and everything, high-priced or cheap, valuable or invaluable, online. Even sometimes, they are deceived, meaning what actually they order is not delivered, but they don't stop purchasing online.

Last week, they ordered a diamond necklace, which was worth 1 lac fifty thousand to gift to their mommy on her birthday. After a day or two, the parcel arrived at my cousin's home. They became thrilled and squealed with delight. They received the parcel and gave the cash to the delivery boy. It was a very bulky box. They had ants in their pants to see the diamond necklace and instantaneously removed the black sheet to uncover the box but as they removed the sheet there was another sheet, then another, then another, and they (the sheets) were firmly glued to each other. It took about an hour to uncover the box! Finally, they succeeded in removing the last sheet that covered the box and unsealed it.

When they opened the jewellery box, they could not believe what was in it! It was a red velvet blanket instead of a diamond necklace that they had ordered and paid for. "Oh my God!" They all screamed with fear.

They concealed that box in the cupboard so that their mommy couldn't see it or else she would scold them. They had wasted about half of their daddy's monthly income. It was the first time that they had ordered something very exorbitant. They never pondered that they would squander this much amount and nothing would come into their hands.

When their mother was cleaning their room, she found the box in the cupboard with the receipt on it which said 1 lac fifty thousand diamond necklace. She hastily opened the box and saw that there was a blanket inside it. She cried, "John, Alice, and Charlie! Come here quickly. They all presumed that their mother might have found that box that's why she was screaming in an angry way! She became increasingly exasperated with them and scolded them a lot! All three of them realized that they had done a blunder and apologized to her.

People should ponder about purchasing things online which cost an arm and a leg, and you cannot judge a book by its cover. Where there are people who are up to scratch, there are also people who could hoodwink you. All that glitters is not old. We should think prior to purchasing anything online! Verily, “Experience is the teacher of all things!”
