When I Tried to Forget You.

When I Tried to Forget You.

Fresh was the morning.

Fresh were the memories.

Cooked,Washed,Mopped.

And house was full of you.

Pressed the clothes neat as my thoughts told me about you.

Dressed, Curled,Powdered and I was full of you.

The stony lane ended but thoughts of you did not.

Winds paused but thoughts did not.

Traffic stood still, so was your smile.

Reached my desk but it was yours.

Lunched, Worked and Worked,Trying to forget you.

Crossed roads holding your thoughts.

Reached home, cooked, mopped, washed

And the house was again full of you.

Slept to get rid of you

And woke up hugging you.
