SHE WAITS
SHE WAITS

First when she entered this house
Clutched tightly in his loving arms
So delighted was she, filled with dreams
Every second, he played only with her
There was no day or night, or any limit
Drenched in his abundant love always
She did not realize when the time flew
She is not a baby anymore, but an old dog,
Every day now, as she hungrily waits for him
He, is too busy in his world, to pay even attention
When she runs to him, her longing eyes begging
He pushes her away, indifferently with his feet
As she, the dog, waits, with an undying hope
His married wife too, waits at the window still
Her vacant dry eyes always staring at the open sky
Eyes, which are now dead, void of any feelings
