Slammed
Slammed
You slammed the door on me
She cried bitterly, no! he said
The door closed on its own, wind
She said, no, you did it, I know
You have the key come in, he said
No, you locked me out, she said,
He said, you are already inside dear.
You are fooling me, she cried still
Read my unspoken lips first, he said
They will tell you my true love
She sighed, finishing her read
It was some poet’s imagination
Door slammed every day, here
And no excuses were ever given
